Applications for Guyana Birth, Death and Adoption Certificates must be submitted to the General Register Office in Georgetown, Guyana.

Registration of Overseas Births
The High Commission can register the overseas births of children born to Guyanese parents on or after 26 May 1966.

Persons requiring Emergency Certificates; Certification, Notarisation and Legalisation of Documents are kindly asked to make contact with the Consular Section by telephone between the hours of 9.30 am to 2.45 pm and 4.30 pm to 5.30 pm any weekday.
The Section’s Visiting Hours for members of the public are 10.00 am to 2.30 pm on weekdays with the exception of UK Bank Holidays and identified Guyana Public Holidays.
